God's Pantry needs a Truck and Warehouse space this month - - Please help!

Within one recent week in May 2013, God's Pantry had the engine of its familiar 26-foot yellow truck burn and had been notified that it will lose the currently donated warehouse space across from Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville in early summer.  We need your immediate help with prayers, donations, and leads or suggestions for both a donated or low-cost 26-foot truck and donated or low-cost warehouse space (20,000 to 30,000 sq. ft.) somewhere within Greenville County.  Please contact us at (864) 963-4441 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you can assist with either need.  With your help, we know that the Lord will provide.  Thank you for all you do for hunger in our Upcountry community!  God bless you!

What is "God's" Pantry?

A Different Approach to Hunger!  Then 'Til Now

In October 2002, a small group gathered at Messiah Lutheran Church. The purpose was to provide food for those in the community that were in need. Three hundred people received help by the end of the year. At that time families would receive a box that would give them three days of meals every two weeks.

From that beginning in 2002, God’s Pantry has grown each year. For the year 2008, God’s Pantry provided a box of food to more than 61,000 people in need. Those boxes contained food for 15 meals for one week. Distribution took place through six (6) pantries located in three counties in our community. For the year 2009, God's Pantry used 395 tons of food to serve more than 72,000 people (19,900+ families were served) and has grown to have ten (10) pantries in the three counties, plus two (2) Emergency Food Stations in Greenville.

In 2010 God's Pantry continued to grow and relocated administrative and warehouse operations from the Fountain Inn facility to their new Operations Center and Warehouse at The Trinity Building on Old Stage Road in Simpsonville SC. Feeding over 111,200 people in 2010 with 12 pantries and 1 emergency food station, God's Pantry has been fortunate. During the summer we have been able to distribute fresh peaches, corn, potatoes and onions. And, now with freezers, we can also distribute frozen meats, vegetables, breads, etc.!

It is through the support of our member churches and the generous donations from businesses and individuals in our communities that make this all possible. We ask nothing in return for this service provided except that praise and glory be given to Him who has made all this possible.

Learn how you can help by donating your time, food and money to help feed those in need.
